Tripadvisor: #17 Attraction to the preferences of visitors of Kavala.
The Association of Minors of Kavala "Memory of Asia Minor", ninety years after the Disaster, created in the city the "Museum of Refugee Hellenism". A museum that will keep alive the memory of the unforgettable homelands of the East, the rooting and the refugee, the struggle of our ancestors to take root in their new homeland...
The refugees, under tragic circumstances, brought with them images and sacred relics that they hid in their horn, the gifts of their girls, documents, certificates and what they considered valuable. They brought their culture and values.
"We Mikrasians, children and grandchildren of the first refugee generation, with the foundation of the Museum, this wealth and culture we strive to preserve and leave it to future generations."
