Port of Kavala

General description

The ferry connections of the port of Kavala include direct services to at least 20 ports in islands of the North and East Aegean. 

Most ferry routes from Kavala are to Limnos and Agios Efstratios. Even in winter there are several weekly itineraries for these two islands. More specifically: 

Kavala - Limnos (3 hours): Limnos is one of the largest islands in the North Aegean. It is connected by ferry to Kavala with frequent sailings throughout the year. Kavala - Agios Efstratios (6 hours and 20 minutes): Ferry routes from Kavala to the picturesque island of Agios Efstratios are frequent. 

Also from Kavala there are routes to Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Ikaria and Fours. There is at least 1 weekly itinerary connecting these islands with Kavala. More specifically:

 Kavala Lesvos (7 hours): The ferry connection of Kavala with the third largest island of the Aegean is served by the port of Mytilene. 

Kavala Chios (10 hours): The port of Chios Town is located in the center of the east coast of the island. 

Kavala - Samos (13-14 hours): The Kavala - Samos route is served by 2 ports of the island, the main port vathi and Karlovasi. The journey lasts around 13 hours for Vathi and close to 14 hours and 15 minutes for Karlovasi. 

Kavala Ikaria (22 hours): Ikaria is connected by ferry to Kavala from the port of Agios Kirikos. 

Kavala Fourn (21 hours): There are regular ferries from Kavala to Fournies, the picturesque island between Ikaria and Samos.
