The city has a fleet of one hundred and thirty vehicles which are orange or white in color.  

Taxi drivers know the city very well and it is a good opportunity to get to know the secrets of Kavala. 

The cost of travelling by taxi varies depending on the route. See the price list of charges or be informed by the driver before you start the journey. 

The city also has a special fleet of taxis that have Wi-Fi and smartphone chargers. You must make a reservation about these vehicles. 

To stop a taxi on the street all you have to do is raise your hand. When the light on the roof of the taxi is on it means that it is available. 

You can call a taxi or book: 

• the company "Eurotaxi" (www.eurotaxikavala.gr) and 
• in the "Taxi Consortium" 

Also, in the city center, there are taxi ranks that you can serve: 

• Omonia Street (in the building of the old courts) 
• Eleftherias Square (in four places around it) 
• Averoff Street (on the beach) 
• Kapnergatis Square (in the OTE building) 
• Mitr Street. 
• Chrysostomou (in the building of IKA) 
• Dagli Street (in the Administration Building) 

But there are also taxi ranks in every district of the city that can serve you.

The city also has a special fleet of taxis, which are adapted to serve people with disabilities. You must make a reservation about these vehicles.
