
The KE.F.I.A. (Centers of Physical and Medical Rehabilitation) are the renaming of K.E.K.Y.Y.K.A.meA. (Social Support Education and Training Centers for People with Disabilities) from 1-1-2012 and were integrated into the local central hospitals of the country. The KE.F.I.A. are in direct scientific, nursing, educational and functional connection with the hospital to which they belong organically and administratively.
The Center of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Chryssoupoli is located in a direct scientific, nursing, educational and functional connection with the General Hospital of Kavala, which belongs administratively and organically. It consists of Scientific Staff, Psychologist, Sociologist, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Nurses.
The purpose of the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is to provide health and hospitalization services to patients indoors or outpatients, who suffer from diseases of the muscular, nervous, circulatory, inditiatory, respiratory systems, as well as people of all ages with motor or mental problems.
The early evaluation and rehabilitation therapy, the psychological, social and counseling support, the information of People with Disabilities and their families, their functional rehabilitation, the support for their integration into the social fabric, the cooperation with the social care services at local level, or at the level of cooperation between school and community.
Counseling and psychosocial support programs are provided, as well as occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, nursing intervention programs.
