New Structure for the Disabled of the Chronic Diseases Department of Kavala

The New Structure for the Disabled, operates as part of the Annex of Chronic Diseases of Kavala and is housed in one of the premises of the Social Welfare Center of AMTH. Specifically in the former special school of Kavala (Terma Iokastis, Agios Loukas). 

The Structure currently serves disabled people over 18 years of age and the services it provides free of charge are: 

• Department of Pedagogy, Creative Employment and Microtechnies 
• Psychological support 
• Social Worker's Office 
• Physical Education and Sport Program. 

It operates from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and within the above hours, the trainees are employed at certain times according to the program of each, which is created according to its needs and capabilities. Applications for registration of trainees in the Structure program are open.

Renovation and maintenance work has been carried out on the new structure, while at the same time there are the infrastructures needed to support access to and education for people with disabilities.
