Diabetic Center
The Municipality of Kavala, in the framework of a preventive medicine exercise in the field of health, operates since 2004 a standard Diabetic Center.
The Centre aims to prevent and diagnose diabetes disease, with systematic sugar measurements and a specialized daily diet plan.
Responsible for the operation of the Diabetic Center is the Special Pathologist Mr. Zouboulis Meletiadis. Visits to the Centre take place every Tuesday from 13:00 to 15:00.
Breast Cancer Prevention Center
The Municipality of Kavala, in the framework of a preventive medicine exercise in the field of health, operates since 2005 a model Center for the Prevention of Breast Cancer.
The Centre has a specialized practice, where clinical examinations are carried out for the prognosis of breast cancer.
Also, in the field of prevention, educational advice on breast palpation techniques for early diagnosis and treatment is given.
