Tourist Information Centre

The Visitor Information Centre is a structure of "Demofelia" which has been operating since 2003 and covers the needs of tourist information for the Municipality of Kavala and the wider region. The building in which it is housed is located in a central point of the city, in Freedom Square (Venizelos and Ion Dragoumi corner), serving the visitors of the area as well as the residents of the city. 

Kavala offers guests a wealth of options for sightseeing, nature contact, accommodation, entertainment, food and shopping. The Information Centre therefore offers guests clear instructions on how to plan their visit and stay. So whether you're planning a business trip, a leisure vacation, alternative activities, a short family trip, a honeymoon, a swim on the city's shores or evening entertainment, this is the place to start planning. 

Some of the Centre's responsibilities are to: 

• provides information (in Greek, English and German) on points of interest in the area, i.e. attractions, monuments, coasts, museums as well as information on accommodation, feeding, suggested tour routes, etc. 
• offers free printed information, such as a map of the city centre 
• has souvenirs and forms for sale (list below) 
• makes room reservations operates an "e-corner" and a ticket box for cultural events 
• reply to e-mail and written correspondence (e-mail, fax and mail), 
• providing the requested information
