Αφήνοντας την πόλη της Καβάλας συναντούμε την Άσπρη Άμμο, έναν γραφικό όρμο, μια υπέροχη αμμουδιά και οργανωμένη ακτή με ψαροταβέρνες, ενώ λίγα μόλις χιλιόμετρα πιο κάτω, συναντούμε τις λιγότερες γνωστές, μα πάντα ιδιαίτερες ακτές της Νέας Καρβάλης.

Η παραλία Άσπρη Άμμος καλύπτεται κυρίως με ψιλή άμμο. Το νερό είναι καθαρό και διαφανές. Η παραλία προστατεύεται από ανέμους από δύο λόφους, οπότε σπάνια υπάρχουν έντονα κύματα. Απαλή απελευθέρωση νερού, κατάλληλη για μικρά παιδιά και αρχάριους κολυμβητές. Είναι εύκολο να φτάσετε στην παραλία - μπορείτε να σταματήσετε το αυτοκίνητο δίπλα στην άμμο.

Έχει νότιο προσανατολισμό.

Η ακτή είναι στο σύνολό της αμμώδης, έχει μήκος 250 μέτρα, ενώ το πλάτος της κυμαίνεται από 15 έως και 30 μέτρα. Τα κολυμβητικά ύδατα στα πρώτα μέτρα είναι αβαθή, ενώ η κλίση του πυθμένα θεωρείται ήπια, αφού η ισοβαθής των 5 μέτρων συναντάται σε απόσταση της τάξης των 100 μέτρων από την ακτή.

Η παραλία δεν είναι οργανωμένη στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος της και ως εκ τούτου στερείται των ανάλογων υποδομών.

Παρ' όλα αυτά, στο ανατολικό άκρο υπάρχει μικρός αριθμός από διαθέσιμες ξαπλώστρες και ομπρέλες. Στο εν λόγω τμήμα το κοινό εξυπηρετείται από εστιατόρια και αναψυκτήρια που λειτουργούν στην περιοχή.

The umbrellas, seats, tables and sunbeds available are user-friendly to person with motor limitations.

Note: The spaces reserved for users with disability are not properly marked (e.g., with the International Symbol for Access).

Dusters, water fountains, shower handles, etc. are at appropriate heights for wheelchair users (within a zone 90-120 cm high, and never beyond 40-135 cm).

Caution: There are some dangerous parts (e.g., high risk of falling over accidently) without appropriate handrails/fences.

Note: There are no pathways that are easily identifiable by white cane users and visitors with restricted vision, and the information signs have no Braille or other means appropriate for blind users.
