General description

The paths are easily identifiable by white cane users and visitors with restricted vision (e.g., by means of railings, identifiable corridors, etc.) and the signs are also in Braille or other means appropriate for blind users.

Accessibility description

The beach/swim area is properly 'connected' to pedestrian route/zone, square or PoI that has been evaluated:

The beach is properly 'connected' to nearby parking spaces/areas.

The beach is properly 'connected' to nearby bus stops.

The beach is properly 'connected' to nearby accessible restrooms/changing areas.

The beach has been awarded a blue flag.

The beach is claimed to be accessible to persons with disability (e.g., there is an appropriate sign/claim at the entrance).

The lifeguards have received special training for serving/saving persons with disability.

Inside the beach area, there are appropriate corridors/paths so that a wheelchair user or a person with mobility problems can move around freely and access all facilities, including any showers, locker rooms and the water entrance.

Sidewalks and raised platforms inside the swim area, they are accessible to wheelchair users (with appropriate ramps/dropped kerbs, as appropriate, of minimum width 90cm, with appropriate slopes, etc.).

At the sheltered spaces, there is always provision for wheelchair users too (e.g., free of obstacles, at least 1.4 m wide, with enough space for standing next to the conventional seating, measuring at least 0.8 m x 1.3 m).

The umbrellas, seats, tables and sunbeds available are user-friendly to person with motor limitations.

The are umbrellas, seats, tables and subeds reserved especially for users with disability (free space for wheelchair 0.8 X 1.3 m, etc.).

The spaces reserved for users with disability are properly marked (e.g., with the International Symbol for Access).

Dusters, water fountains, shower handles, etc. are at appropriate heights for wheelchair users (within a zone 90-120 cm high, and never beyond 40-135 cm).

Caution: There are some dangerous parts (e.g., high risk of falling over accidently) without appropriate handrails/fences.
